Indications:

Aminophylline is an antiasthmatic drug that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, relieves bronchospasm, and maintains a smooth breathing channel. Suitable for bronchial asthma, wheezing bronchitis, obstructive emphysema, etc., can alleviate wheezing symptoms; It can also be used for asthma caused by cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
In addition to relieving asthma, the drug can also relax the smooth muscle of the biliary tract, stimulate the central nervous system and enhance the contractility of the myocardium, and has a mild diuretic effect.

Contra-indications:

It should not be used by those allergic to this product.
Contraindicated in patients with active digestive ulcer.
It is contraindosed in patients with uncontrolled convulsive disease.
It is contraindication in patients with acute myocardial infarction, severe coronary atherosclerosis and hypotension.

Adverse Effects:

Acid-making drugs and aluminum-containing preparations can delay or reduce the absorption of quinine.
The anticoagulant effect can be enhanced by the combination of anticoagulant and quinine.
Muscle relaxants such as succincholine and tubocurarine may cause respiratory depression when combined with quinine.
Quinidine combined with quinine can increase the cinchona reaction;

Drug Interactions:

Phenobarbital, phenytoin and rifamequal can reduce the blood concentration of aminophylline, resulting in weakened efficacy. Attention should be paid to monitoring the blood concentration when combined with these drugs.
When used with caffeine or other xanthines, it may increase the risk of adverse reactions.
Propranolol can inhibit the bronchodilation of aminophylline.

Precautions & Warning:

Aminophylline can quickly relieve asthma, but the safety is poor, adverse reactions need to be closely observed during the administration, it is best to closely monitor the blood concentration during the administration.

Use in Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers:

Pregnant and lactating women: This product can pass the placental barrier, can also secrete into the milk, with the milk discharge, therefore, pregnant women, parturient and lactating period
Use with caution on women.

Treatment/antidote in The Event of Overdose:

The range of effective blood concentration of aminophylline is narrow, and individual differences are large, and some patients may have large side effects when taking small doses, so it is necessary to start using small doses and closely observe adverse reactions.
