CARBAMAZEPINE TABLET 200mg

Indications:

Carbamazepine is an anti-epileptic and neuralgia painkiller that controls seizures and relieves severe pain in specific facial nerves. It reduces the risk of seizures by regulating abnormal electrical activity in the brain, and has a quick analgesic effect on knif-cutting pain such as trigeminal neuralgia.

Contra-indications:

Contraindicated in persons allergic to carbamazepine and related structural drugs (such as tricyclic antidepressants).
Atrioventricular block is contraindicated.
The serum iron is seriously abnormal.
Contraindicated in patients with a history of myelosuppression.

Adverse Effects:

Common adverse reactions are nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache, and some people may have uncoordinated hands and feet, drowsiness, and double vision. These conditions are more likely to occur when you start taking medication, when the dosage is too large, or when the elderly are taking medication.

Drug Interactions:

When combined with human microsomal epoxide hydrolase inhibitors (such as loxapine, quintiapine, valproic acid), the blood concentration of carbamazepine can be increased, which can lead to dizziness, drowsiness, ataxia, diplopia and other adverse reactions, and the dosage should be adjusted when necessary.

Precautions & Warning:

Patients with past heart, liver, or kidney damage or adverse hematological reactions to other drugs should be treated with caution and should be closely monitored during medication.

Use in Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers:

Prohibited for lactating women.
Use with caution in early pregnancy.

Treatment/antidote in The Event of Overdose:

Carbamazepine overdose mainly causes signs and symptoms of the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system.
