QUININE INJECTION 400mg
Indications:
It is mainly used to relieve fever of malaria.
Contra-indications:
Optic neuritis, tinnitus and myasthenia gravis should not be used. Because this product has teratogenic and uterine smooth muscle effect, pregnant women should not use. Contraindicated in patients with cardiomyopathy.
Adverse Effects:
Intramuscular injection can cause tissue necrosis, and deep gluteal injection is used if necessary. Highly sensitive people may also appear Cinchona reaction, should be paid attention to. Acute hemolytic reaction may occur in a few patients with idiosyncrasy.
Drug Interactions:
Acid-making drugs and aluminum-containing preparations can delay or reduce the absorption of quinine.
The anticoagulant effect can be enhanced by the combination of anticoagulant and quinine.
Muscle relaxants such as succincholine and tubocurarine may cause respiratory depression when combined with quinine.
Quinidine combined with quinine can increase the cinchona reaction;
Precautions & Warning:
If the product crystallizes out, it will be slightly heated to dissolve before injection.
It should be used with caution in patients with asthma, atrial fibrillation and other serious heart diseases, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, and women during menstruation.
Use in Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers:
Prohibited for pregnant women.

Deep intramuscular injection.
